Paul Nielsen, CPA, EA

Paul was graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with an Accounting emphasis. After finishing college, he taught accounting, tax, and other business courses at a private business college in Waterloo, Iowa. He then joined the IRS as a Revenue Agent in Sioux City, Iowa. He audited individuals, partnerships, and corporations. During this time, he was also selected to be a member of the IRS Teaching Cadre (the IRS unit that taught practitioners and other IRS personnel). Since November 1972, Paul has practiced as a partner or sole-practitioner. He has also taught basic accounting courses at the University of Northern Iowa as an adjunct instructor.
Paul is semi-retired but remains active in the tax preparation field. He joined our firm on a part-time basis in 2014 and provides a wealth of technical and practical experience.
Tammy Miller
Administrative Assistant
Tammy was graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and two minor degrees: Business Administration and Economics. She has extensive experience in the area of Human Resources and payroll. Tammy previously held SHRM certification when she was working in the Human Resources arena. Tammy has been employed with our firm since June 2013 as the administrative assistant. In addition to the administrative functions she performs for the firm, she is responsible for maintaining QuickBooks for our clients’ accounts. In her free time, Tammy enjoys boxing and volunteering for her teenage daughter’s school.
Michael Terlisner
Staff Accountant
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in accountancy, has been a small business owner, and was a sergeant in the United States infantry. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree and certification as a public accountant. His travels have taken him from Seattle to Vienna, but he is happy to call Phoenix his home, where he calls the outdoors his personal gym and remains hopeful of finding the perfect espresso shot.
